Dr. Qiang Yu is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Nanchang University, serving as the Director of the National University Science Park (Center for Technology Transfer) and a member at the State Key Laboratory of Food Science and Resource Discovery. Recognized as a leading innovative young talent in the first batch of Jiangxi Province's "Ganpo Talent Program," he is also a Distinguished Young Scholar of Jiangxi Province and a Young Jinggang Scholar. Prof. Yu currently holds multiple professional affiliations, including membership in the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, the National Health Science Popularization Expert Database, and the Food and Nutrition Committee of the Chinese Association of Agricultural Science Societies; he also serves as Vice Chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Geographical Indications Products Standardization Technical Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Jiangxi Provincial Food Industry Scientific and Technological Innovation Consortium, Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Nutrition Society, and Editorial Board Member of food. With international research experience from two years of joint doctoral training at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and one year of secondment at the China Rural Technology Development Center. 

His research focuses on the development and utilization of Medicinal and Edible Homologous resources and health interventions via food components. He has led over 20 research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Academy of Engineering, the Jiangxi Provincial Key R&D Program, and the Jinggangshan Agricultural High-tech Zone "Open Challenge" Program, as well as commissioned projects for enterprises like Jiangzhong Food Therapy, Wilmar International, and Moutai. Additionally, he has participated as a core member in over 10 national-level projects. Prof. Yu has authored over 210 SCI papers in authoritative international food science journals, with over 80 published as first or corresponding author (primarily Q1 TOP), including 5 ESI Highly Cited Papers, resulting in an H-index of 58. He has been listed in the "World's Top 2% Scientists" lifetime impact ranking and has received awards including the First Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, the Second Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Award, and the Second Prize of the "Invention Entrepreneurship Award & Innovation Award" from the China Invention Association.
