Chen Jun, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, serves as the Executive Deputy Director of the International Food Innovation Institute at Nanchang University. He is a national-level high-level young talent, a Global Top 2% Scientist (for six consecutive years), and ranks among the Top 5% of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers according to CNKI. He has been selected for the first batch of Jiangxi Provincial “Thousand Talents Program” (Cultivation Category) and the first batch of Jiangxi Provincial Higher Education “Young Jinggang” Scholars, and is a recipient of the Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund.
He serves as an editorial board member for Journal of Future Food and Grain & Oils, and as a youth editorial board member for Science and Technology of Food Industry and Chinese Journal of Food and Nutrition. His research primarily focuses on key technologies and equipment in food processing. He has led over 60 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program), Jiangxi Provincial Key R&D Programs, and industry collaborative projects. He has published more than 170 SCI papers in authoritative journals such as Trends in Food Science & Technology, Food Hydrocolloids, and Food Chemistry, including 58 papers as first or corresponding author. His work has an H-index of 60 and has been cited over 10,000 times. He holds 4 authorized international patents and more than 20 invention patents. His research achievements have been recognized with 10 provincial/ministerial-level awards, including the First Prize (ranked 2nd) and Second Prize (ranked 1st) of the Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.
