Personal Information
Prof. Shaoping Nie is the vice president of Nanchang University, PI in State Key Laboratory of Food Science and Resources, Nanchang University, and the Chinese side director of the China-Canada joint laboratory of food science and technology (Nanchang).
Prof. Nie has been selected as National talents. Prof. Nie has been ranked among “Highly Cited Scientists” by Clarivate and Chinese highly cited scholar by Elsevier for many times.
Prof. Nie is Founding Editor in Chief of Food Frontier, and Associate editor of Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, as well as editorial board member of Carbohydrate Polymers, Scientific Report, Food Science and Human Wellness, etc. He is also vice president of International Association of Dietetic Nutrition and Safety, and member of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology.
Prof. Nie won some important awards: the Second-Class Award of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2023 (First Recipient), the Second-Class Award of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2016 (Third Recipient), 3 First Prizes of the Natural Science of Jiangxi Province (2 as the first Recipient and 1 as the second Recipient), 2 First Prizes of Scientific and Technological Progress of Jiangxi Province (1 as the first Recipient and 1 as the second Recipient), 1 Second Prize of Natural Science Award of the Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award of the Ministry of Education (First Recipient), etc.
