Dr. Haopeng Zhang is a Associate researcher fellow at the School of Infrastructure Engineering, Nanchang University. He received his Ph.D. degree from Southwest Jiaotong University and was a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Antwerp. Then, he participate postdoctoral researches at Tongji University.

He obtained funding support project by Chinese Postdoctoral Science Foundation(CPSF) and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and his research focuses on the multi-scale analysis and numerical modeling of bituminous and cementitious materials, combining macro–micro experiments with FEM and MD simulations. He has published nearly 30 papers as first/corresponding author in leading pavement and construction materials journals including ACS Sustainable & Chemistry Engineering, Fuel, Construction and Building Materials, Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, International Journal of Pavement Engineering and Road Materials and Pavement Design.  He received the Outstanding Research Paper Award from RILEM society and  Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation from Southwest Jiaotong University. 

Also, he is the Youth Editorial Board of Resources, Environment and Sustainability, Journal of Changsha University of Science & Technology (Natural Science) and AI & Materials Journal.
