Lai Junshan is a Principal Investigator (PI) and doctoral supervisor at Institute of the Biomedical Innovation/School of Pharmacy, Nanchang University. He has received numerous awards, including two National Graduate Scholarships, the Outstanding Graduate Student Award, the Excellent Graduate of Lanzhou University, the ICIQ Doctoral Scholarship, the FPI, and the Cum Laud doctorate of URV University. Currently, he serves as a standing committee member of the Second Pharmaceutical Chemistry Professional Committee of the Jiangxi Pharmaceutical Society and is a key member of the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory for New Drug Translation and Evaluation. His research primarily focuses on the fundamental and applied studies of asymmetric catalysis involving chiral spiro molecules. He has had four periods of overseas study and work experience totaling eight years, including at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ, Spain), Cornell University (USA), Max Planck Institute for Coal Research (MPI-Kofo, Germany), and the University of British Columbia (UBC, Canada). He has published over 20 SCI papers, including in prestigious international journals such as Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., ACS Catal., and Chem. Sci.
