Director of the Industrial Automation Laboratory at Nanchang University, and a core member of the Imaging and Visual Representation Laboratory led by NSFC Distinguished Young Scholar Prof. Qiegen Liu.

A Ph.D. graduate from the School of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Prof. Xuemin Xu’s research group), with an interdisciplinary background in biomedical engineering and mechanical & power engineering. Long-term commitment to research directions including AI-empowered intelligent agricultural machinery and equipment, intelligent thermal environment regulation, smart healthcare, and industrial automation.

Recent funded projects include: the 2025 Jiangxi Provincial Pilot Project for the Integration of Agricultural Machinery R&D, Manufacturing, Promotion and Application (lead PI, total funding of 17.5 million RMB); the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation for Young Scientists (lead PI); the Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Reform Project (lead PI); participation in the Jiangxi Provincial Key R&D Program; and multiple industry-funded collaborative R&D projects with enterprises.

Publications include multiple high-level SCI papers as first/corresponding author, appearing in CAS Q1 top-tier journals such as Building and Environment (BAE), Journal of Building Engineering (JBE), IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (IEEE TIM), Energy and Buildings (ENB), and IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics (IEEE JBHI). Long-term reviewer for journals including Building and Environment (BAE) and IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (IEEE TIM), with 2 granted national invention patents and approximately 10 published patent applications.

Professional service includes review expert for government agencies (e.g., Xinyu Municipal Bureau of Big Data) and Session Chair at Class A conferences of the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), including the Chinese Process Control Conference (CPCC).

Teaching responsibilities cover courses such as Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition and Applications. Recipient of a provincial-level graduate teaching achievement award. Advisor to numerous students winning national competition awards, including the Second Prize of the National College Students Intelligent Car Competition, the Third Prize of the National College Students Digital Media Technology Works and Creative Competition, and the Third Prize of the “Huawei Cup” Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition. Multiple supervised graduate students have received the National Scholarship and Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship, with continuous guidance of undergraduate students to earn Outstanding Undergraduate Graduation Project awards.
