II. Research Interests & Expertise

• Research Areas: Wireless Communications, Computer Graphics, Medical Image Processing & Computer-Aided Diagnosis, Scientific Computing, Mesh Generation, Computational Geometry, Computer Vision.

• Expertise Summary: Dr. Wan has engaged in long-term research in computational geometry, computer vision, and computer graphics. During his Ph.D. studies at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), he focused extensively on these core areas. Later, during his postdoctoral tenure at the National Heart Centre Singapore and A*STAR, he conducted multi-disciplinary applied research in computational geometry—specifically related to 3D modeling and simulation—accumulating rich experimental and practical experience. He has published over 20 academic papers in prominent international journals and conferences, holds 1 international patent, and serves as the Principal Investigator (PI) for 2 NSFC projects and 2 provincial-level projects, while participating in 1 National Key R&D Program.
