Chun Wang is a Professor in the Department of Energy and Electrical Engineering, School of Information Engineering, Nanchang University. He graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1985 with a Bachelor's degree in Power System and Its Automation. He subsequently received his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from Kanazawa University, Japan, in 2000 and 2003, respectively. His main research interests include power system analysis and optimization, power system planning and reliability, and smart grids. He has led and completed three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). As the first author or corresponding author, he has published over 80 journal papers, among which more than 40 are indexed by SCI and EI. As the first inventor, he has been granted 7 national invention patents. He has received several honors, including the Young and Middle-Aged Backbone Teacher of Jiangxi Province, the Young and Middle-Aged Academic Leader of Jiangxi Province, and the Outstanding Supervisor of Master's Theses of Jiangxi Province.
