Personal Information

Wu Tianya, male, Ph.D. , is a distinguished researcher at Nanchang University, specializing in the design of silicon pixel sensors and research in nuclear electronics and nuclear detection technology. In 2015, he was selected for the inaugural Central China Normal University's top talent innovation training program and received research funding during his doctoral studies under the supervision of Professor Huang Guangming, a director of the Chinese Nuclear Society and a senior expert in nuclear electronics. He was awarded the "2018  CSC fellowship" and went to the Institute for High Energy Physics in Spain (IFAE) for joint training, under the guidance of Academician Sebastian Grinstein of the Catalan Institute for Advanced Studies (ICREA) and the head of the silicon detector of the ATLAS experiment at the European Nuclear Research Center. His second mentor was Associate Professor Raimon Casanova Mohr of the Department of Microelectronics and Electronic Systems at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). In 2022, he was awarded the "CUM LAUDE" by the UAB, and in 2023, he was honored with the title of outstanding undergraduate course assistant at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

From 2018 to 2023, he led two independent research projects at the State Key Laboratory of Nuclear Detection and Nuclear Electronics of the Ministry of Science and Technology, with a total funding of 200,000 RMB. He participated in the development of the vertex detector pixel sensor chip for the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC)  and has completed the design and fabrication of three versions of the pixel sensor prototype (TaichuPix 1/2/3), mainly responsible for the design of the digital pixel front-end and chip beam tests. (Ministry of Science and Technology project number 2018YFA0404300, budget 31.45 million).

In the past five years, he has published 13 papers, including 9 SCI papers and 4 EI papers, with 4 first-authored or co-authored papers, and 2 corresponding author papers. He has presented the latest research progress at major international academic conferences such as IAS HEP2023 at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, PSD13 at the University of Oxford, ICECS2019, TWEPP2023, and HSTD13 in Canada.
