Personal Profile

Guolin Shao is an Associate Professor and a Master's Supervisor at Nanchang University. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Data Security Technology, the Deputy Director (on secondment) of the Educational Technology and Teaching Resources Center at Nanchang University. He holds a bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree from Sichuan University and completed his postdoctoral research at Alibaba Group. Shao is a member of the Jiangxi Computer Society Council, the Jiangxi Urban Safety Informatization Society Council, and serves as a young editorial board member for journals such as Engineering Science and Technology and Frontiers of Data and Computing Development.

In recent years, he has led multiple national and provincial-level projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National 242 Information Security Plan Project, the Jiangxi Provincial Key Research and Development Plan Project, the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation's Youth Project and General Project, the Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Fund Project, the Open Project of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, and the Zhejiang Provincial Postdoctoral Preferential Funding Project. His relevant research findings have been applied in significant scenarios such as CNCERT, State Grid, China Unicom, Alipay, and Jiangxi Financial Development Group. He has published over 20 academic papers in top-tier international conferences and journals such as IEEE TIFS and DASFAA, and has applied for 21 patents.

Shao has received several awards, including the "Outstanding Young Teacher Award in Computer Education" at the 5th China IT Education Boao Forum, the Second Prize for Excellent Experimental Teaching Cases in National Computer Courses at the 10th National Conference, the Special/Second Prize for Teaching Achievement at Nanchang University, the titles of "Outstanding Class Advisor," "Outstanding Communist Party Member," and "Outstanding Supervisor for Undergraduate Theses" at Nanchang University. During his graduate studies, he received over ten national and university-level awards, including the "Top Ten Academic Stars" for graduate students at Sichuan University, the Excellent Paper Award at the Conference on Advanced Computing and Defense Technologies, the National Cybersecurity Scholarship from the China Internet Development Foundation in 2016 and 2018 (twice), the 2018 National Scholarship, the Sichuan University Academic Excellence Scholarship (consecutive from 2013 to 2018), the titles of Outstanding Master's and Doctoral Graduate at Sichuan University, and the Outstanding Contribution Award (twice) from the Network and Trustworthy Computing Research Institute at Sichuan University. During his postdoctoral tenure, he received honors such as Alibaba's Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow, the Best Individual Award, and the Best Team Award at the 2019 Ant Group Campus Recruitment Newcomer Training.
