Personal Information

Dr. Fang Shan is a Distinguished Professor at Nanchang University, a Doctoral Supervisor, a Young Leading Talent of Jiangxi Province's "Thousand Talents Program", and Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Engineering Research Center for Key Materials and Devices of High-Energy-Density & High-Safety Solid-State Batteries. She pursued postdoctoral studies at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany and holds a doctoral degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She has successively conducted scientific research exchanges and research work at world-renowned research institutions, including Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the United States (October 2015 - July 2017) and Helmholtz Institute at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany (October 2018 - October 2020). Her research focuses on the basic scientific research of new theories, methods, and technologies for electrochemical energy storage materials, as well as the design, preparation, system construction, and performance improvement of functional structural materials in energy conversion and storage devices such as lithium-ion batteries, lithium-metal batteries, and solid-state batteries.Up to now, she has published 28 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author in top international journals, including Advanced Energy Materials, ACS Nano, Nano Energy, and Energy Storage Materials, among which 2 are highly cited and hot papers. She has also participated in publishing more than 50 papers and contributed 2 chapters to English monographs published by Elsevier and Wiley. She has presided over 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 2 Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, and 1 Sino-German International Exchange Project. In addition, she has participated in the National Key R&D Program, the Joint Project of the German and American Ministries of Education, and other programs. Currently, she is a member of the Chinese Chemical Society, the ACS Chemistry Society, and the ECS Electrochemical Society, a guest editor of Frontiers in Energy Research, a young editorial board member of eScience, and a reviewer for multiple international journals in her professional field.
