Engaged in research on health management and control technologies for new energy systems, including reversible solid oxide cells (RSOCs).

Principal Investigator of multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangxi Province, the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, and key laboratory projects of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Participated in the National Key Research and Development Program of China (Hydrogen Energy Special Project), a Key Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as more than ten provincial- and ministerial-level and municipal-level projects.

Principal Investigator of two provincial- and ministerial-level teaching reform projects and one university-level teaching reform project; co-editor of one textbook.
