Xiaolin Huang is a professor at the School of Food Science, Nanchang University. As a principal investigator, he has secured and led several major research grants, including those from the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Key Research and Development Program of Jiangxi Province, the Jiangxi Provincial Double-Thousand Plan, and the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation.
Professor Huang’s research spans food science, analytical chemistry, materials chemistry, nanotechnology, and biomedicine. His work is centered on interdisciplinary innovation that bridges scientific discovery with advancements in human health. A key focus of his research is the development of highly sensitive optical nanoprobes for applications in biosensing, bioimaging, and theranostics.
By 2025, he has authored or co-authored a number of influential papers in leading international journals, including Nature Communications, Chemical Society Reviews, Advanced Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, and ACS Nano. His publications have received more than 7,000 citations and he maintains an H-index of 53. In recognition of his scholarly impact, he has been named among the World’s Top 2% Scientists. Additionally, he has twice received the First Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Award as the second winner.
