Dr. Liu obtained his PhD degree from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2015, and joined the School of Physics and Materials Science of Nanchang University at the end of the same year. From 2018 to 2019, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Research Laboratory for Nuclear Chemistry and Industrial Solid Waste Recycling, Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden), under the supervision of Prof. Christian Ekberg, Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, and participated in the Volvo Power Battery Comprehensive Recycling Project in Sweden. He was appointed as a Young Expert Committee Member of the China Renewable Resources Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance in 2020, and a Young Editorial Board Member of China Ceramics in 2025. He has presided over 5 vertical research projects including sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, major special projects of Jiangxi Province, the Young Talent Program for Discipline Leaders of Jiangxi Province, the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation for Young Scientists, and sub-projects of the Xijiang Innovation Team in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, as well as 4 enterprise horizontal projects. He has published more than 20 SCI papers in top journals such as Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Hazardous Materials and Journal of Cleaner Production. He holds 14 authorized invention patents, 1 utility model patent, and has published 1 monograph. He won the First Prize of Excellent Scientific and Technological Papers of China Nonferrous Metals Industry, the Third Prize of the 6th "Qichuang Cup" Entrepreneurship Competition Finals in Qidong City, and the "Dongjiang Talent" Program.
