教授、博士生导师。微纳光学团队负责人,先后入选赣鄱英才计划创新高端人才计划(自然科学类)、“井冈学者”特聘教授及江西省主要学科学术与技术带头人-领军人才,南昌大学首届“十大优秀研究生导师”。现为江西省光学学会副理事长、中国光学学会纤维光学与集成光学专业委员会委员。以第一完成人获2019年度江西省自然科学奖一等奖1项和第十六批江西省教学成果奖(研究生类)一等奖1项。
主要从事微纳光场调控、光学检测及成像等方面的研究,主持国家级、省部级以上科研项目10余项。在Science Advances、Optica、Advanced Materials、Laser Photonics Reviews、Communications Physics、Small、Nano Letter、Phys. Rev系列、Applied Physics Letters、Opt. Express、Optics Letters 等国际学术期刊上发表SCI收录论文140余篇,其中第一作者或通信作者80余篇,授权国家专利10余项。培养博士生、硕士生60余人。
