Luo Guangsheng, male, born in April 1970, is from Linchuan, Jiangxi Province. He is a postdoctoral fellow, professor, doctoral supervisor, and a key middle-aged and young teacher in Jiangxi Province's higher education institutions. He serves as the deputy dean of the School of Physics and Materials at Nanchang University (at the department level). He is a standing committee member of the Solid Defects Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society, an editorial board member of the authoritative journal Functional Materials, the vice chairman and secretary-general of the Jiangxi Materials Society, and the academic leader of the Magnetic and Functional Materials discipline in Jiangxi Province. He is also the first national-level gold medal instructor for the finals of the China International Collegiate Innovation Competition.
From 1985 to 1989, he studied at the inaugural Youth Class of Beijing Normal University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. From 1989 to 1992, he pursued a master's degree in Condensed Matter Physics at the university's Department of Physics, obtaining a Master of Science degree. From 2005 to 2009, he completed his doctoral studies in Materials Science and Engineering at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, earning a Doctor of Engineering degree. From 2013 to 2016, he conducted postdoctoral research at Nanjing University's Physics Postdoctoral Research Station, specializing in nanomagnetic materials under the supervision of Professor You Duiwei, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was exceptionally promoted to associate professor in 1997 and to full professor in 2002.
His primary research focuses on energy storage materials and magnetic materials. He has led and completed 15 national, provincial, and industry-academia collaborative research projects, and is currently overseeing 5 key research initiatives. With over 100 high-impact publications (including more than 80 SCI/EI-indexed papers), he has been granted over 30 national technical invention patents. His accolades include the Second Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (as the primary contributor), the Third Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Second Prize of Jiangxi Provincial University Scientific and Technological Achievement Award (also as the primary contributor).
