Chengmei Liu, Professor and PhD Supervisor,  Former Vice President of Nanchang University, Dean of the International Food Innovation Research Institute at Nanchang University, and Director of the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for Biomass Transformation. He is the leader of the State Key Discipline in Food Science, a member of the Agricultural and Forestry Committee of the Ministry of Education, a member of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Food Science and Engineering Majors in Higher Education Institutions. Enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, selected as a member of the national "Millions of Talents Project", a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions to the country, a national outstanding scientific and technological worker.

     Professor Liu has engaged in research of grain processing, new food processing technologies, and functional foods. Hosted 10 national level projects, including 1 joint key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 5 general projects, 1 863 special project, 1 national science and technology support plan for the 11th and 12th Five Year Plans, etc. and more than 20 provincial-level projects such as the "5511" project major research. Received 12 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological achievement awards, including 1 first prize of the China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, 1 first prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Award, 3 first prizes and 3 second prizes of the Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and 2 second prizes of the Ministry of Education's Science and Technology Progress Award. Published 136 SCI indexed papers, including 11 highly cited papers, and was selected as a Global Highly Cited Scientist by Clarivate Analytics. Published 4 professional books and textbooks and 63 national invention patents have been authorized.
