Wang Shaoyu is a Distinguished Researcher at the School of Information Engineering, Nanchang University. Brought in through Nanchang University's High-Level Talent Introduction program, he has been awarded honors such as the Jiangxi Province "Ganpo Talents" Innovative Leading Talent. He also serves as the Deputy Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Medical Information Detection and Internet of Things. He holds a joint Ph.D. from Chongqing University and the University of Massachusetts (USA) and completed his postdoctoral research at the PLA Information Engineering University. His research primarily focuses on intelligent medical imaging, as well as CT theory and its applications.

     Over the past five years, he has led multiple projects, including the Jiangxi Province "Ganpo Talents" Innovative Leading Talent project, the Key Regional Joint Fund Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the NSFC Youth Science Fund Project, and the Special Support Project of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Additionally, he has participated in over 10 major projects, including NSFC General Programs, the National Major Scientific Instruments and Equipment Development Special Project, the National Key R&D Program of China, and application promotion projects for the Science and Technology Commission of the Central Military Commission. In the last five years, Dr. Wang has published more than 40 SCI-indexed journal papers. Among these, he is the first or corresponding author for 20 papers (including 10 IEEE Transactions journal papers and 4 ESI highly cited papers). He has applied for or been granted 10 invention patents. Furthermore, he has published one academic monograph titled CT Image Reconstruction Algorithms and won the Third Prize of the 2024 Henan Provincial Natural Science Award (ranked 2/5).
