Dr. Yu Yanzhe specializes in research on sustainable artificial environment design and energy-saving methodologies, with a focus on building performance optimization design, energy efficiency evaluation, energy-saving management technologies, and environmental control strategies for artificial environments. He has led one project funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangxi Province and participated in several national and provincial-level research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program, the National 973 Program, and the Tianjin Science and Technology Plan Project. Dr. Yu has authored or co-authored more than ten SCI-indexed journal articles in the fields of building environment and energy applications, co-developed one Tianjin Engineering Construction Standard, and received multiple academic honors, including the Second Prize for Outstanding Papers at the "2022 National Railway and Urban Rail Transit HVAC Academic Conference," the Best Oral Presentation Award at the First National Academic Conference on New Energy and Transportation Artificial Environment (2024), and the Excellent Instructor Award at the Sixth College "Green Building Design" Skills Competition. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Architectural Society of China, the Jiangxi Province Key Laboratory of Advanced Civil Engineering Materials and Green Intelligent Construction, the Jiangxi Provincial Engineering Research Center for Near-Zero Energy Buildings Industry Technology, the HVAC Special Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and the Jiangxi Provincial Society for the Protection of Architectural Heritage. Additionally, he serves as a peer reviewer for prominent academic journals, including Building and Environment and IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems. Dr. Yu also served as co-chair of a special forum at the 9th International Conference on Energy and Environmental Science, themed "Achieving Energy Efficient Buildings through Better Technology/Engineering and Management."
