Dr. Jiulun Hu, granted project supported by the Young Scientists Fund (class B) of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Young Researcher Excellence award from IUFoST (International Union of Food Science and Technology), deputy Director  of the State Key Laboratory of Food Science and technology (Nanchang University), deputy editor of Frontiers in Nutrition. She has long been engaged in the research of food nutrition, science and technology, focusing on digestion, fermentation, functional activity, biosynthesis and health product development for food components, especially dietary polysaccharide. She has undertook over 10 national and provincial-level projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published more than 70 pieces of academic papers in food science and nutrition field, authorized 18 national patents. As a key research contributor, received the 2022 Top Ten Advances in Chinese Food Science and Technology (inaugural edition), two first prizes for Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress, and two first prizes for the Science and Technology Innovation Award—Technological Progress from the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology.
