Chunquan Li

Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Visiting Professor at Carleton University (Canada), Ganjiang Distinguished Professor of Nanchang University. Currently serves as Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Intelligent Systems and Human-Computer Interaction, and Dean of the Institute of Information Science and Technology, Nanchang University. He is Vice Chairman of the National Electronics Technology Research Association for Higher Education Institutions, Vice Chairman of the Zhejiang-Fujian-Jiangxi University Electronics Technology Course Teaching Research Society, and Deputy Director of the Smart Education Professional Committee of Jiangxi Digital Economy Society. He is a recipient of the National Baogang Outstanding Teacher Award, Jiangxi Province Class C High-Level Talent, Outstanding Innovative Talent Team in VR Industry and Entrepreneurship of Jiangxi Province (team leader), Jiangxi Gold Medal Teacher, Jiangxi Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project, and Jiangxi Hundred-People Overseas Voyage Project. He is currently a panel expert for the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, review expert for national-level major talent programs, review expert for national-level major/key projects, discipline assessment expert for the Ministry of Education, review expert for National First-Class Undergraduate Courses, and review expert for the National Teaching Innovation Competition. (I) Scientific Research

1. Research Directions: Focusing on the national major strategic needs of "AI+", engaged in applied basic research in intelligent human-robot interaction and collaboration. Specific research directions include:  
   (1) Intelligent robotics and embodied intelligence;  
   (2) Virtual surgery simulation and haptic perception and feedback;  
   (3) Embedded artificial intelligence;  
   (4) Brain-computer interfaces and multimodal information processing;  
   (5) Artificial intelligence, large models, and agent technologies and their applications in industry and medicine.

2. Funded Projects: In recent years, has led 6 national-level projects, 4 major/key provincial/ministerial projects, and 7 industry–university collaborative projects.

3. Publications and Patents:

4. Awards: Received the 2025 Jiangxi Provincial First-Class Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked first); 2022 Jiangxi Provincial Second-Class Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked first); 2022 Jiangxi VR Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team Award (team leader); 2023 Excellent Product Award at the 25th China Hi-Tech Fair (ranked first); and 2023 CSIS-IAC Best Conference Paper Award (supervising first-author graduate student).

5. Supervised doctoral students selected for the China Association for Science and Technology Young Elite Talent Cultivation Program (doctoral special program); supervised master's students who developed a 5G telemedicine-assisted robot that won the First Prize and Best Paper Award at the National Graduate Electronic Design Contest.


(II) Education and Teaching

1. Teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Principles and Interface Technology of Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, and Robotics Technology.

2. Currently serves as the leader for the National First-Class Undergraduate Program construction site, and the National First-Class Undergraduate Course (*Principles and Interface Technology of Microcontrollers*). He is the leader of the Jiangxi Provincial Microcontroller and Embedded Systems Course Team, and the leader of the Jiangxi Provincial Curriculum Ideological and Political Demonstration Course Teaching Team. He has received the Third Prize in the National University Teaching Innovation Competition, the Design Star Award in the National Blended Teaching Design Innovation Competition, and the Grand Prize in the Jiangxi Provincial University Teaching Innovation Competition. He has won three Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Achievement First Prizes (two as first-ranked, one as second-ranked) and one Second Prize (first-ranked). He has supervised undergraduate students to win multiple national first, second, and third prizes in competitions such as the China International "Internet+" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, "Challenge Cup," and National Intelligent Car Competition, and has guided undergraduate students to publish 20 SCI papers as first authors.
