Evaluation and case analysis of different types ofsolar-assisted triple generation systems
To study three types of solar energy auxiliary trigeneration systems, i.e., solar thermal-assistedtrigeneration systems (ST-CCHP), solar photovoltaic-assisted trigeneration systems (PV-CCHP), solar photovoltaicand thermal collector-assisted trigeneration systems (PVT-CCHP) under the four-configuration scheme, the variationrules of various evaluation indexes are observed, when the solar energy auxiliary trigeneration systems run withfollowing electric load (FEL) and following thermal load (FTL) operation strategies. Three evaluation indexes ofthermodynamics, economy, and environment are established, and the highest comprehensive performance index istaken as the objective function for optimization. The results show that the PVT-CCHP system can only maintain thehighest primary energy saving rate under the same configuration scheme and operation mode, and the annual totalcost-saving rate, emission reduction rate, and comprehensive performance are not always better than the ST-CCHPand PV-CCHP systems. The primary energy saving rate, emission reduction rate, and comprehensive performanceof the ST-CCHP system remain at the lowest level.
